Who we are

Rev. Bill Smith has been ministering in crusades, church planting, medical clinics, pastors conferences and youth conventions since 1980. His first trip was to the southern mountains of Mexico in 1972. Worldwide Crusades was founded in 1994 as a tax-exempt organization with the goal of reaching out to the world with the gospel of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Since that time, God has been faithful to open many more doors of opportunity and provision for ministering in Central America and parts of the African continent. As the doors of opportunity have opened, God has also been faithful to provide more laborers to pull along side and support the ministry of Worldwide Crusades. The co-laborers come from numerous walks of life and nearly as many spots on the planet.
Current opportunities for service God has provided for us to serve overseas include these: Outdoor crusades in urban, suburban and rural areas of Central America and Eastern Africa, medical/dental teams combining with evangelism outreach teams to reach many in need; new church planting crusades; pastoral conferences and youth conventions; teaming up with a medical clinic operated by Central American nationals in San Pedro Sula, Honduras; helping support a music/evangelism team from Honduras that travels throughout Central America and oftentimes provides ministry music for Bill Smith’s crusades in the region; as well as providing work teams to help in the construction of new church facilities.
Worldwide Crusades is led by a board consisting of Bill Smith (founder, president and pastor of Alsea Christian Fellowship, Alsea, Oregon), Guy Williams (vice president from Yamhill, Oregon), John Butterworth (secretary from Alsea, Oregon), Larry Daniels (Alsea, Oregon), and Norm Eppenbach (Umatilla, Oregon)
Currently assisting Worldwide Crusades in organizational efforts is Hernan Mendez (San Pedro Sula, Honduras) and many pastors and lay volunteers from many denominations in Central America and Africa.
